PIRATE'S EYE PATCHES ARE NOT FOR STYLE OR A PHYSICS DISLOCATION
A pirate ship captain has to roll out duties both on the board and under the deck. So in order to adapt to the sudden change in brightness in haze situations he needs to use the second eye this way. So the dark adapted eye could be used under the dark patched deck and the other could be used on the board.
